FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How do you make your parts?
RetroCraft RadWorks starts by measuring the OEM part they aim to reproduce. They use engineering software to draw the part, making improvements to the original design. Molds are crafted by hand based on the computer-aided drawings. The plastic is then thermoformed over the mold. For parts requiring vinyl, they use a heat-activated, lab-created adhesive to bond marine-grade vinyl to the plastic while thermoforming the vinyl over it.

Can you use my vinyl for the cup holder or dash panel?
They can use your vinyl for the center section of vent/cup holder assemblies. However, for the bases of vent/cup holder assemblies and dash panels, they must use their own thermoformable vinyl in available colors due to the deep negative spaces in the part design.

Can you match embroidery thread to a specific color on my vehicle?
Yes, they can match embroidery thread to a specific color on your vehicle, though there’s an additional cost for colors beyond their standard options (white, black, silver, and royal blue). This covers the time to match and purchase specialty thread. Note that slight color differences may occur due to manufacturing lot variations or existing color-fading on your vinyl, but they aim to get very close.
